TNLA Foundation Legacy Society

Picture

TNLA Foundation Legacy Society

The TNLA Legacy Society was formed to honor the individuals and families that have made long-term commitments to the TNLA Foundation through planned gifts such as bequests and charitable trusts, established a fund at the Foundation that is either permanent or ultimately benefits The Foundation’s Unrestricted Endowment Fund, or have utilized The Foundation’s resources to develop some other type of planned charitable gift.

Our community is already the beneficiary of hundreds of gifts entrusted to the TNLA Foundation by generously-minded individuals and families.  Sometimes, gifts go unrecognized because they come at the end of a Donor’s life.  The Legacy Society provides a way for the TNLA Foundation to recognize and thank Donors during their lifetimes as well as honor their memory after death.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I become a member?
You are already eligible for membership in the Legacy Society if you have made arrangements in your will or through another form of planned gift that either benefits The Foundation directly or uses a Fund or Trust at The Foundation to provide charitable gifts to other organizations.  Simply notify us of your plans by completing the form on the back of this sheet and returning it to The Foundation.

2. Can someone help me prepare a will or estate plan?
Yes.  If you contact the Foundation we can provide you with a list of estate planning professionals in our community.  In addition, our staff will be happy to discuss your needs and charitable intent and suggest appropriate options that are customized to meet your philanthropic goals.

3. What benefits do I receive as a member of The TNLA Legacy Society?
Members receive a small token of our appreciation signifying their enrollment in the Legacy Society and will be recognized in our various publications including the Green Magazine.  In addition, you will be invited to a special annual reception at Nursery/Landscape Expo exclusively for new and old Legacy Society members as well as select events each year.  Most importantly, you gain the benefit of knowing your gift will have a lasting impact on the community for generations to come.

4. How will my gift be used by The Foundation?
The Foundation has a number of different types of gift arrangements to meet a Donor’s specific charitable intentions. Most gifts made to The Foundation ultimately accrue to the Foundation’s permanent Unrestricted Endowment Fund to meet the immediate and emerging scholarship needs to help foster, support and bring young people into our great industry.
